HOW TO GET ORGANIZED FOR THE WEEK AHEAD
Nothing is worse than feeling pressured and burdened on a Monday morning. Although I’ve always thought of myself as a naturally organized person, it’s taken me some time to reach the point where I actually feel in control of my personal and professional lives.
For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned
I’ve adopted a few straightforward routines to get rid of my Sunday night anxiousness and set up my week for success:
CHECK YOUR DIARY & WRITE A TO-DO LIST
When it comes to setting up your week for success, preparation is a crucial component. Prepare to fail if you don’t do your homework.
I like to examine my schedule and make a to-do list for around ten to fifteen minutes on Sundays. I am able to manage my time much more efficiently by entering in important dates and listing down particular assignments for the week.
PLAN YOUR MEALS FOR THE WEEK
On a Sunday afternoon, I organize and prepare my meals for the next week. I make my grocery purchases depending on my weekly agenda. Every week when I go grocery shopping, I make all of my meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—ahead of time. I prefer to test out several meal delivery services during the busy weeks. I’m now really loving Soulara’s plant-based meals.
DE-CLUTTER
A tidy, fresh house is the key to kicking off the week correctly. I take pride in keeping my house tidy, organized, with everything in its proper place. I prefer to declutter by doing a few things, such as the following:
- Ensure that all of my clothing is cleaned, folded, and stored.
- Organize my handbag and discard any receipts or other items I’ve gathered over the course of the week.
- Make sure my house is spotless, everything is put away.
PREPARE MY GYM BAG & WORK OUTFIT
Planning and getting ready for my outfit for Monday is one of my favorite things to do on a Sunday night. I also set out my sneakers, water bottle, exercise clothing, and towel. I have easy access to everything I need when my alarm goes off at 5 a.m. I also like to set out my clothes for the next day. This allows me to concentrate on other, more crucial responsibilities of the day because I don’t have to make a decision on a Monday morning.
REST & RELAXATION
I like to unwind at the end of my Sunday night. I enjoy taking a shower, changing into pyjamas, lighting my favorite candle, and unwinding with a nice book or movie after I have planned and prepared for the week. I can start each new week with a sense of serenity and relaxation because of this exercise.
