Summing Instructor

Structure Health & Fitness is seeking a certified and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming techniques, water safety, and stroke improvement to members of all ages and skill levels. As a key part of our fitness and wellness program, the Swimming Instructor will ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment while promoting physical fitness and confidence in the water. Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Swim Instruction:
    1. Conduct individual and group swimming lessons for children, adults, and beginners to advanced swimmers.
    2. Tailor lessons to meet the skill levels and goals of each participant.
  2. Safety Supervision:
    1. Monitor swimmers at all times to ensure safety and prevent accidents.
    2. Enforce pool rules and safety protocols consistently and professionally.
  3. Skill Development:
    1. Teach correct techniques for all swim strokes, floating, diving, and breathing.
    2. Offer constructive feedback to improve form, technique, and overall performance.
  4. Program Planning:
    1. Create structured lesson plans based on member needs and swimming levels.
    2. Organize swimming events, assessments, and certifications when applicable.
  5. Equipment & Facility Maintenance:
    1. Ensure pool area and equipment are clean, organized, and safe.
    2. Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management promptly.
  6. Member Engagement:
    1. Foster a positive and motivating environment.
    2. Build rapport with members, encouraging continued participation and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Swimming Instructor (e.g., ASA, AUSTSWIM, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience as a swim coach or instructor (minimum 1–2 years preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and safety practices.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (mandatory).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, enthusiasm, and ability to work with all age groups.

  • Physical fitness and stamina to demonstrate skills and supervise active sessions.

  • Flexible to work on weekdays, weekends, and early or late shifts as required.
